The Global Children Foundation primarily provides grants to community-based, charitable, and relief organizations that work with some of the world’s neediest children.
The Global Children Foundation was established in 1998 in response to the economic crisis in Asia. It began with a group of Korean-American mothers in the United States who learned of the crisis’ devastating effects on the children of South Korea. These mothers quickly banded together and raised $20,000.00 to provide food for children in need.
Since its initial effort, the Global Children Foundation has raised and distributed over two million dollars in grants to organizations which provide assistance to needy children all over the world. It has spread its mission to reach vulnerable children in countries which include Sudan, Vietnam, East Timor, Turkey, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, Iraq, Kazakhstan, North Korea, Cambodia, Mongolia, Peru, Mozambique, Kenya, Malawi, Kyrgyzstan, Mauritania, Haiti, and Japan.
Today, the Global Children Foundation has over 4,000 members in twenty worldwide branches who volunteer their time and efforts to raise funds.. The Global Children Foundation advances its mission by working with embassies. It provides grants to community-based, charitable, and relief organizations that work with some of the world’s neediest children.
